Orlando Pirates coach, Roger de Sa, tells the Siya crew that he has given some of his Bafana Bafana players a day off from training, so that they can recover from their heavy schedule.
Goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa, defender Thabo Matlaba, midfielders Andile Jali and Oupa Manyisa, as well as striker Lennox Bacela were all in the Bafana Bafana squad for last night’s friendly against Spain, which South Africa won 1-0.

“Remember that the guys went straight to the Bafana camp when we return back from Egypt. They then went on to play for Bafana against Swaziland and some of them played last night against Spain, so they needed time to recover from that heavy schedule, hence we’ve given them time off,” De Sa told the Siya crew.
“There were those who were carrying minor knocks, which needed some time to recover, so this time off will give them time to do that,” added De Sa.
Meanwhile, De Sa revealed that winger Daine Klate might not play against SuperSport United in the Telkom Knockout semi-final this Saturday.

“I’m not sure if Daine will recover in time for Saturday’s game though and with bereavement in his family as well, we might decide to rest him for this game even he does, so we’ll have to wait and see,” concluded De Sa.
Pirates take on SuperSport at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday at 15h00.
