Soccer-Laduma can confirm that goalkeeper Reyaad Pieterse has signed for Kaizer Chiefs on a three-and-a-half year deal.
As the Siya Crew had revealed over a week ago, the stopper had impressed during his spell in training with the club.
The 20-year-old Nike Chance graduate was previously on the verge of signing for Belgian Pro League outfit, K.A.A Gent, however following a string of changes in the coaching department, the deal fell through.
Pieterse left Irish club, Shamrock Rovers, at the end of last season and returned to Mzansi where he trained with Wits, Orlando Pirates, and then Chiefs for an extended period as he looked to keep himself fit.
The shot-stopper will be under no illusions about the challenge ahead as he looks to break into Stuart Baxter’s first team, as he will have to usurp the likes of Bafana number one, Itumeleng Khune, and fellow youngster, Nhlanhla Khuzwayo, if he is to get himself some game time.
