Bafana Bafana started their 2013 Africa Cup of Nations campaign with a goalless draw against Cape Verde last weekend, which was followed by a 2-0 win over Angola on Wednesday.
Winger Thuso Phala played in both games for coach Gordon Igesund and admits that they approached the game differently against the Angolans. He told the Siya crew that all the players lifted the level of their game and fought for the win.
Going into Sunday’s game against Morocco, Phala has urged the team to have the same approach.
“You see all games are different and the Cape Verde one was the first game and we were a bit tense, but after that draw we wanted a win. We were well settled against Angola. We felt comfortable on Wednesday. We played for a win on Wednesday and we got it.
“We will play for a win against Morocco as well and we will get it. What we just need to do is to play the way we did against Angola, or even better, then we will do it,” Phala said.
