Petrus Shitembi is set to play for AmaZulu in the 2014/15 season. The midfielder, who returned to Namibia after spending time with AmaZulu this past season, impressed the technical team during his stay in Durban.
The 22-year-old was deemed surplus to requirements at the University of Pretoria. Shitembi was with Tuks from January last year.
According to sources close to the KZN outfit, the player has been signed although the conclusion of his move to Usuthu has been subject to availability of a foreign spot in the team.
AmaZulu recently confirmed that Shitembi’s countryman Pinehas Jacob, who struggled for game time under Craig Rosslee this past season, has been released.
Jacob and Lunga Zondi had their contracts terminated by the club. Shitembi is a member of the Namibian national team.
