Brighton Deal Now ‘Difficult’ As Tau Stays Away

Percy Tau's Move From Mamelodi Sundowns Could Now Be 'Difficult'

According to reports in the British media, Brighton & Hove Albion regard signing Percy Tau as being ‘difficult’, and the player has still not arrived for camp with Mamelodi Sundowns.

Speculation regarding the talismanic Masandawana star has been rife in recent weeks amid talk of a possible move overseas, and things heated up last week when comments from the player’s agent prompted a statement from the club themselves.

Now, with Sundowns away for camp in Rustenburg, the Siya crew have been informed that – as of this morning – the 24-year-old was still not present, although no reasons have been given as to why that is the case.

The Seagulls have reportedly tabled a substantial offer for Tau in order to tempt Sundowns into selling him, although at this point in time it remains to be seen if any club will be able to meet their valuation of the 2017/18 PSL Footballer of the Season.

Over in the UK, The Argus have said that their understanding was that Brighton "regard the deal as 'difficult'," and that "a further complication would be securing a work permit for Tau", suggesting that a move may not materialise for the Bafana Bafana international. They did mention that West Bromwich Albion could now be in the picture too.

Tau has attracted interest from all over the world given his performances for the Brazilians – most recently from Club Brugge in Belgium – and there is a chance that he may leave South African shores before the new season gets underway.

Sometimes, this Oversea based players like to say how a PSL Player is ready to go to Europs, not thinking on how they warm up the benches that side, Tau is still very young and has a bright future ahead of him. Let him relax, if he must play Overseas then he will.

I wish this boy wouldn't rush going to EPL rather first go to France or Belgium. But again Dunusa knows how to frustrate players if they want to jump the ship.

@Carder305, my support & love are enough to make me a shareholder, same with your madness against Downs, that qualifies you to be our number one adversary. You automatically have shares in hatred towards Sundowns, you're a shareholder in hatred towards us

Percy is much better than all your cows you have in your clubs even better than the departed khama, thats why good leagues are chasing him, not about Denmark, Sweden you name them. France, Spain, England etc thats where Tau should go.Since he can not qualify for a permit let him stay and go for free, Let him market himself and his agent.

@Line's Man... it seems as we share the same view about this issue this guy is a good player but I expected him to take the decision he took he expected Sundowns to stop business and entertain him unfortunately for him this is not one man team when he begun his story the team roped Gaston Sirino he still continued to test the management finally Andile Jali and Toni Silva came in he decided to take the route Jose Antonio Torrealba took years back where did he end they flushed him because he was not getting the supply to make him profilic striker he was dont worry Silva is in the area

Soweto are more concerned about Sundowns more than their failing teams. Let your teams sell their players if you really care about those players. Khune is approaching to be in SASA payroll while you say his the best player, why can't you tell Bobby sell him in China

As if it's only Sundowns with internal issues. Someone is earning R5000 in Soweto big teams. Someone case in CCMA is still pending, this after five years of the case. Some supporters invaded the pitch and chase players.
