Percy Tau has been making headlines in the media over the past weeks, with the player strongly being linked with a move to English Premier League side, Brighton and Hove Albion.
Mamelodi Sundowns have recently made a statement confirming that the club remains committed to Tau’s move abroad, although, with latest reports in the media, it seems that the Brazilians want to make sure they get their desired asking price for the player before letting them leave.
The player’s representative, Mmatsatsi Sefalafala has previously been very vocal in the media about the negotiations taking place behind the scenes, however, has since opted against commenting on matters any further.
Reports in local media have suggested that Premier League outfit, Brighton have tabled a final offer of R50 million offer for Tau.
Contacted for comment, Sefalafala told the Siya crew, “Kindly afford all parties involved in the negotiations to exhaust their duties until finalisation. I am not interested to engage the media at this moment. Thank you.”
In addition, it has been revealed that Tau did not report for pre-season camp with the Brazilians last week in Rustenburg, with indications that the 24-year-old could be facing a penalty for misconduct.
The crew has tried to get hold of Sundowns Media Co-ordinator, Thulani Thuswa who was unavailable for comment at the time.
