Mamelodi Sundowns have bid farewell to Percy Tau.
Indications are that the 24-year-old playmaker appears to have passed his medical at Brighton and Hove Albion, after Sundowns officially bid farewell to Tau on their official Twitter account.
It was reported by the Siya crew earlier this week that Tau landed in London ahead of his medical with Brighton and Hove Albion, with indications that Sundowns and the English Premier League club have come to an agreement about the transfer of the player.
With Sundowns now bidding farewell to the playmaker, indications are that Tau has passed his physical assessment, with Brighton now set to confirm that the player has put pen to paper.
Tau had an illustrious two seasons in the top flight, with his performances attracting a number of European suitors over the passed months.
However, it was Brighton who edged everyone else to the player’s signature, despite the current uncertainty regarding whether or not Tau will be able to secure a UK work permit to ply his trade in the English Premier League.
Although, as reported by the crew yesterday, indications are that Brighton could be sending the 24-year-old out on loan to a club in another country, while the issue surrounding his UK work permit is set to be solved.
Now it remains to be seen when Brighton will make an official announcement about Tau.
