Mamelodi Sundowns fans have been enquiring about the availability of Elias Pelembe who is yet to feature in an official game for the Chloorkop side this season.
The midfielder, who made 19 starts in the league for Sundowns last season, is struggling for game time in this current campaign.
Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has been utilising other players as he tries to get his formula right. A lot of the other players who have find it difficult to break through, are now slowly getting their chances.
Rodney Ramagalela was handed his Sundowns debut in the league game against Free State Stars last night, while another former Black Leopards midfielder Tiyani Mabunda was disrupted by a knee injury in his attempt to break into the team.
According to a source close to Pelembe, the Mozambican-born is not injured and is waiting for his chance like any other player.
“He is still a Sundowns player, it’s just that he is not playing at the moment. He isn’t injured and hopefully he will be back in the team,” said the source.
Pelembe will have to prove his worth when given the chance. Players like Katlego Mashego, Katlego Mphela and Surprise Moriri have all stepped up when called to do duty for Mosimane's side.
