Keagan Dolly’s agent says that the player’s move to Mamelodi Sundowns ticks all the player’s boxes with regards to what he wants from his future.
The Siya crew reported on Wednesday that the 21-year-old had finalised his move to Chloorkop, but that, as expected, he would remain with Ajax Cape Town throughout the course of the 2014/15 season.
Some have criticised Dolly’s decision to return to his former club, though his agent, Paul Mitchell of Siyavuma Sports Group, says that it was the right move to make at this point in time.
Speaking to the Siya crew, Mitchell said, “There has been a lot of speculation around Keagan, as is always the case with talented players, and we sat down with various clubs before making a decision on Sundowns.
“It’s a deal that ticks all the boxes for Keagan, and we’re more than happy how it has all worked out.
“We sat down with the management and coaching staff at Sundowns and were happy with how things went, I want to say thank you to both teams’ management for the way the matter was handled.
“Keegan Wasserfall and I worked very hard on making this deal happen, and we’re happy that it’s now been completed. We’re looking forward to seeing Keagan go on to bigger and better things.”
Given Dolly’s rise over the last year or so, and his ambition to play in Europe, he will be hoping to impress for Ajax this season and possibly earn himself a move overseas before ever pulling on a Sundowns jersey.
