Matthew Pattison has returned to Wits after the club allowed the player to return to England, to experience the birth of his second daughter.
The central midfielder didn’t feature in Wits’ 1-0 win over Ajax Cape Town last Friday, as he was out of the country at the time.
The 26-year-old has been in some good form this season and had started in both the recent 1-0 win over Golden Arrows, as well as the 0-0 draw with Platinum Stars.
Wits assistant coach, Paul Johnstone, explained that Pattison has since returned to training and he will be in contention for selection for the club’s next clash against AmaZulu on Tuesday (17 September).
He said, “We allowed him a week or so off to go back for the birth of his second daughter. He has since returned to training with us and is available for selection again.”
