Ayanda Patosi was certainly the hero on Wednesday night with his two-goal haul rescuing a point for Cape Town City against Orlando Pirates, but he admits it was tough and they had to do it for their coach.

The side from the Mother City had to come from two goals behind to draw 2-2 with the Buccaneers at Orlando stadium after Augustine Mulenga and Innocent Maela opened the scoring.
Unfortunately, City coach Benni McCarthy could not be there on the night due to his wife being in hospital after a collapsed lung on Monday.
“It was tough. We knew when coming from Cape Town to Orlando it was going to be tough," Patosi told SuperSport.
“We didn’t expect to concede two goals at set-pieces early on.
“But in the dressing room at halftime the (assistant) coach (Vasili Manousakis) pumped us up and we knew we had to fight.
“Our coach (Benni McCarthy) is not here and we wanted to fight for him because his wife is in the hospital.
“I am very proud of the boys and the way they came back.”
Patosi was handed the ‘man of the match’ accolade for his efforts and feels his goals were well-deserved.
“I think the first goal I scored gave the team the spirit to come and fight for another goal. It was a nice goal – when I get in that area I tell myself I just have to shoot, either left or right and lucky enough it was a goal,” added Patosi.
“The second goal, it was a set-piece and I kick set-pieces nicely, and I always try and direct them towards goals, and today it worked.”
