Free State Stars have welcomed Zaid Patel to their training in preparation of the remainder of the 2013/14 season.
Patel is contracted to Wits. According to a source close to the Braamfontein side, the 20-year-old has been sent to Stars on loan to allow him to grow in his football career.
“Zaid is at Free State Stars. He was sent there to allow him to grow. The boy will be there on loan until the end of the season,” said the source.
Patel is the product of Wits juniors. He was promoted to the first team in 2012. The Azaadville-born player had a stint with Mpumalanga Black Aces in the 2012/13 season.
Patel is the second striker joining Ea Lla Koto after the Bethlehem outfit signed Richard Henyakane on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns.
