Palacios Laments Bucs' Missed Chances
Orlando Pirates interim coach Augusto Palacios was disappointed that his side failed to convert their chances against Baroka FC on Wednesday.
The Buccaneers led their hosts 1-0 until the very last minute of stoppage-time when goalkeeper Oscarine Masuluke scored an equaliser with an audacious overhead kick.
Palacios believes Pirates were punished for not converting their chances earlier in the game.
"96 minutes, it's part of football... We had two chances at the end, but we didn't convert those chances," he said after the game.
"The opponent started playing long balls. You can see how many corners we conceded. We also know to get the ball possession to get the flow but we couldn't do what was necessary for us, and we need to continue forward.
"If you don't convert your chances, the opponent is obviously going to equalise. We needed to score the clear chances that we had.
"It was a difficult game and we defended very well. Unfortunately in the last few minutes they equalised."
