Polokwane City welcomes Thabo Rakhale, Sphesihle Nzimande and Nhlakanipho Mkhwanazi from injuries as they prepare to face Wits and University of Pretoria in their friendly matches.
'Rise and Shine' will face Gavin Hunt’s Clever Boys this afternoon and on Thursday meet Steve Barker’s Tuks in a friendly to prepare them ahead of their second round of the Absa Premiership campaign. The Polokwane-based outfit is reported to have recruited Sandile Sibande and Jabu Maluleke from Wits and SuperSport United respectively, both on a six month loan deals.
Speaking to the Siya crew, coach Boebie Solomons said he is looking forward to the camp to enhance the momentum ahead of their league encounter against Platinum Stars.
“We have new players coming in that need to get the idea of how we play and I am confident that they will add the much needed impetus into the team’s success. Look Sibande and Maluleke are not confirmed signings yet, we are still negotiating but in these games, I will also look at my new players.
“I hope I will get the players as soon as possible, fortunately, we will also have a look at our players who were out injured, Mkhwanazi, Nzimande, Rakhale, Moffat Mdluli and others. These were not so serious injuries but I’m glad that they’re back to boost us for the game against Stars in February,” added Solomons.
However, sources close to the PSL rookies have revealed that both Sibande and Maluleke have signed for the club, and Sibande could turn out in City colours against his old team.
