Out-of-favour Mamelodi Sundowns striker, Edward Manqele, is still at Chloorkop, however the player is training with a group of players that are unlikely to be used by coach Pitso Mosimane this season.
Manqele who spent last season’s Absa Premiership campaign on loan to Moroka Swallows where he scored eight goals, is expected to once again be loaned out by the Chloorkop outfit.
The Siya crew previously revealed that the 27-year-old would be joining PSL returnees, Chippa United along with Thamsanqa Sangweni. However the player’s agent confirmed that he is still at Downs, training separately away from Mosimane’s first team.
Manqele’s agent, Josiah Mphono, revealed to the crew that they are working around the clock to ensure everything gets sorted out.
“We can’t relax because this whole issue doesn’t sit well with us,” Mphono said.
