Tebogo Tlolane has enjoyed a solid spell with Maritzburg United since joining them on loan back in January, playing eight games for the club so far under Eric Tinkler as he helps the club in their impressive march towards the top end of the league table.

Now though, with the former Jomo Cosmos man hoping to end 2019/20 on a high, Tlolane and his teammates are left to twiddle their thumbs a bit during the suspension of the league due to the Coronavirus outbreak, and he’s desperate to get out there at Harry Gwala Stadium once again.

Speaking to the club’s official website, the 25-year-old said, “I'm just trying to do as much as I can. Keeping fit, trying to train in my backyard, doing a few sprints. Just trying to do some things to keep me going… We were in a very good spell as a team… The momentum was good. It's something you can't describe.

“I find myself kicking the ball every day, just imagining myself training or playing. It feels like a lot of emptiness. But it’s things which you can't control, hopefully it can get sorted out soon."

Meanwhile, he also had a message for the club’s loyal fans, saying "For the Blue Army, they must know that we miss them as much as they miss us. I chat with the other players and we talk about how much we miss Friday nights.

"And to the rest of the football fraternity, you realise how much you love football when you can't watch or play it. The only way we can turn things around is to stay together and hopefully we can be back on the pitch soon."
