Bucs’ Zambian Set For Late Fitness Test
Orlando Pirates Striker Makes Progress In Recovery
Orlando Pirates’ Zambian striker is expected to undergo a late fitness test later this week to determine his readiness for the weekend’s match.
The Buccaneers have confirmed that Augustine Mulenga has made progress with his recovery from injury.
The newly signed player was confirmed injured by the club last week, as Bucs were preparing for last weekend’s match against Chippa United.
With Milutin Sredojevic and the team preparing for Saturday’s match against Kaizer Chiefs, the team has provided an update on Mulenga’s injury.
“Meanwhile, newly signed forward Augustine Mulenga is said to be making good progress with regards to his injury.
“According to the medical staff, the 27-year old has been responding well to treatment but will need to undergo a late fitness test this week to determine his availability for the weekend,” Pirates confirmed on the club’s official website.
As earlier reported, Bucs have received a boost in their preparations for the Soweto derby, with Abbubaker Mobara declared fit and injury-free by the club’s medical department.
