Orlando Pirates’ new striker is available to make his official PSL debut with the Soweto giants.
Augustine Mulenga is training with his teammates at Pirates, as preparations for the team’s next match are underway.
Having to first finish his duties with the Zambian national team, after signing for Pirates in January, the striker is now with Bucs for their upcoming matches in the remaining matches of the season.
The reigning Zambian Footballer of the Year has already received his papers to allow him to launch his PSL career.
Although the player has been training with Bucs for some time, Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic and his technical team decided not to include him in the matchday squad for last weekend’s match – the Nedbank Cup win over Ajax Cape Town.
The Pirates technical team will have enough time to work with the player over the next few days, as the side’s next match will be on February 25, against Chippa United in Port Elizabeth.
With his countryman Justin Shonga doing well for himself and continuing to improve since his arrival at Bucs last year, Mulenga will be keen on having an impressive start to his career at the star-studded team.
