Orlando Pirates midfielder Linda Mntambo was delighted to end his drought in front of goal after netting in their entertaining 2-2 draw against Baroka FC.
Mntambo scooped up the Man of the Match award, despite the Buccaneers throwing away a two-goal lead in the final 10 minutes.
"It does feels like two points dropped, I think we started the game well and in the second-half they came to us as hard as they could and they managed to get the equaliser," Mntambo told SuperSport,
"It felt good [scoring], it's been a while since I scored if I remember correctly, it's last year around this time so I'm happy to have scored but sad with the result, I'm disappointed that we couldn't get the three points that we came here for.
The former Chippa United midfielder also revealed that Rhulani Mokwena wanted the side to play a high-pressing game.
"The coach told us that we need to play as if we're playing at home, we're a big team, we need to press them as high as we could and make sure we win balls in the midfield because they're aggressive, [Goodman] Mosele, [Mduduzi] Mdantsane, quality players at Baroka, we had to match them pound for pound I think we did quite well but we let ourselves down in the latter part of the game."
