Orlando Pirates’ in-from striker, Tendai Ndoro, has been called up to the Zimbabwe national team for their upcoming game in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Ndoro has set the pace as an early candidate for this season's Absa Premiership top goal scorer award, after scoring three goals for Pirates in their 3-1 win over Golden Arrows on Wednesday.
Following his impressive showing and incredible form in the opening game of the season for Bucs, Ndoro has been showered with praise by the team’s head coach Muhsin Ertugral.
Zimbabwe national team coach Kalisto Pasuwa will be expecting more of the same from the forward, as they want to finish their AFCON qualification campaign in style.
Zimbabwe qualified for next year’s Gabon tournament in June already, following their 3-0 win over Malawi. Before heading to Zimbabwe for camp, Ndoro will be expected to first help Bucs as they attempt to advance to the next stage of the MTN8.
The Buccaneers will come up against Bidvest Wits in the quarter-finals of the prestigious competition on Saturday.
