Orlando Pirates are set to announce their pre-season schedule as the Soweto giants prepare for the upcoming season.
The Sea Robbers resumed their training this week following the arrival of newly signed players and the contingent of technical staff members consisting of goalkeeper coach Andrew Sparkes, Franck Plaine, who will be the Head of Performance and Darian Wilken who joins the Buccaneers in the Football Analysis Department.
“The pre-season schedule will be important for our technical team to assess all our players and to ensure that the new players are on par,” said Pirates Media Manager Thandi Merafe.
“Our new players must be integrated with our system. It’s important that the programme is intense because this is the first pre-season (that) our coaches are having as a team. They have all joined Pirates at different stages, even the head coach and his assistant have not had a pre-season together.
“When the season gets underway we will be ready but most importantly our coaches and players will be synchronised,” she added.
Meanwhile, the crew earlier reported that the Sea Robbers have parted ways with Mahlatsi Makudubela.
