Orlando Pirates have made further changes to their team in preparation of the new season, with the Soweto giants now adding a new technical performance analyst to the team.
Darian Wilken, who has been working for AmaZulu, has confirmed switching to Bucs for the 2018/19 season. Wilken has confirmed leaving Usuthu to join Pirates on his official Twitter account.
“I leave AmaZulu a different person, having arrived at the club as a boy outside of his comfort zone. I was and have continuously been given opportunities to learn and grow. From junior coach to (being) a part of the first team technical team. I will always cherish the love and support I received at the club. Hebe!” Wilken wrote.
“In saying that, I’m excited to say I have joined Orlando Pirates. This is an extremely exciting time for the club as a whole and I’m humbled to be a part of it,” he added.
As reported by the Siya crew, The Buccaneers have also recently added former Swansea City’s (English Championship) head of academy goalkeeping department, Andrew Sparkes to their technical team as the club’s new goalkeeper coach, replacing Ivica Vukusic who has confirmed his exit from Bucs.
