Orlando Pirates have confirmed that one of the team’s stars, who played in their most recent match over the weekend, has been ruled for tonight’s match against Chippa United.
As confirmed by the Soweto giants, Milutin Sredojevic and the team are set to be without Abbubaker Mobara as they prepare to host Chippa in tonight’s Absa Premiership match at the Orlando Stadium, owing to an injury.
“Abbubaker Mobara has been ruled out of the Absa Premiership encounter against Chippa United tonight due to injury. The 24-year old picked up a knock in the 2-all draw against Highlands Park on Saturday after a stud up challenge towards the end of the match. Fortunately, the Bucs Medical Team have assessed the full extent of the injury and it has been revealed that Mobara will return within a week,” Bucs confirmed on the club’s official website.
The Buccaneers have further confirmed that midfielder Ben Motshwari is still out after the former Bidvest Wits man missed the game against the Lions of the North.
“Meanwhile, Orlandopiratesfc.com can also confirm that midfielder Ben Motshwari is still out of action as he continues to receive treatment on his knee injury. The hard-tackling midfielder is currently undergoing rehabilitation with the Strength and Conditioning Team and they will continue to monitor his progress,” confirmed Pirates.
