Orlando Pirates players are getting to understand each other more as the season progresses, with the team aiming for more wins to move further up on the PSL log.
Following their win against SuperSport United at the weekend, Bucs have moved to third place on the standings with three wins, one draw and two losses from the six matches they have played so far this season.

The Buccaneers have collected 10 points, and are three points behind leaders Bidvest Wits and second-placed Bloemfontein Celtic who are both on 13 points each.
Against SuperSport, Xola Mlambo set up Thembinkosi Lorch with a clever back-heel pass that led to Bucs’ second goal in their impressive 3-1 win on Saturday. Mlambo says he and Lorch have a good understanding between the two of them, while the rest of the Pirates players are also getting to master combinations on the field, according to the former Wits central midfielder.
“Talking about the pass, I think I saw Thembinkosi Lorch and we have a bit of an understanding with him because I played with him at Cape Town All Stars, so I can read his movements and he can anticipate my passes, so it makes everyone’s job easier and the teammates around us and everyone we’re slowly coming correctly with the combinations. It will show up as time goes by. It’s not something that will just happen in the slip of a moment but it needs time, it’s a process,” said Mlambo.
Mlambo and his Bucs teammates prepare to welcome Cape Town City at the Orlando Stadium in their next match on Wednesday.
