Put in a solid showing at right-back for the Buccaneers, managed to get forward on a few occasions in the first half but failed to do the same in the second stanza.

Handed his first official appearance for the Buccaneers,  he managed to hold his own against the lively Mbesuma and hardly put a foot wrong.

Looked solid for most of the 90 minutes, but gave away a few needles fouls, while he was easily beaten by Mbesuma for the Aces goal.

Was hardly tested defensively, although he was constant threat going forward and was unlucky not to register his name on the score-sheet, as he was denied by Walters on two occasions.

Lehlogonolo Masalesa: 6

Deployed in the holding role for Pirates, kept the ball moving throughout the game, but never did anything special.

Thandani Ntshumayelo: 6

Another player handed a rare start this season, but hardly put a foot wrong and did well defensively, before being replaced on the hour mark.

Despite only playing 35 minutes, Makola was a constant threat in the final third, he looked lively down the left flank and also scored a wonderful goal, before being replaced due to an injury.

Menzi Masuku: 6

Not the best of evenings from young Buccaneer, looked to given the role just behind Majoro, although he struggled to produce anything in the final third.

Another attacking player who failed to impress on the night, he had the beating of his marker on two occasions in the first half, but he was quiet for most of the game.

Proved to be a very quiet evening for the striker, who struggled against the Aces defence, although he hardly had services to work with.

Replaced Makola in the first half, although he failed to provide the same threat and was quiet for most of the game.

Handed a debut by Tinkler after the hour-mark and looked very lively, he had two efforts at goal which sailed wide, but he injected much needed pace into the side.

Shu-Aib Walters: 7

Proved to the key figure for Aces, pulled off a number crucial saves, which included denying Majoro in stoppage time from point-blank range. He also picked up the Man of the Match award.

Struggled when he defended against Makola, although he managed to sustain the threat of Myeni when he was introduced after 30 minutes.

Zamuxolo Ngalo: 6

The Aces skipper put in a solid showing in the defence, he did well to frustrate Majoro, while he had a sail wide of the mark in the second half.

Along with Ngalo, Mzava hardly put a foot wrong in the heart of the Aces defence throughout the 90 minutes.

Lehlohonolo Nonyane: 6

Managed to keep Rakhale quiet for most of the game, although he failed to join in the Aces attack down the left flank.

Thanduyise Khuboni: 6

Certainly managed to hold against the likes of Masalesa and Ntshumayelo in the midfield, although he was sloppy in possession at times.

Aubrey Ngoma: 6

The former Pirates winger put in an impressive showing, did well beat Jele on two occasions, although his final ball was lacking.

Bongolethu Jayiya: 5

Didn't do much in the first half and was replaced in the 20th minute due to tactical reasons.

Lebogang Manyama: 6

Given the free role behind Mbesuma and he was a threat with his dribbling and running at the Pirates defence, although he could have done a bit better in the final third

Tshidiso Tukane: 6

Put in a workman like performance down the flanks, troubled the Pirates defence with his dribbling and also managed to trackback on a few occasions.

Collins Mbesuma: 7

The former Buccaneers striker put in an impressive showing, he was constant threat to the Pirates defence and capped his performance with a well-taken goal in the first half.
