Orlando Pirates are mourning the passing of a former official.

The Buccaneers confirmed that former club official, Sonny Boy Ngobeni, has passed away. The club has provided the details of the former official on the club’s website.

Orlando Pirates Football Club is saddened to hear of the passing of former official Sonny Boy Ngobeni. We acknowledge his strategic interventions in difficult times and his contribution in recruiting quality talent to the club namely Nick ‘Bazooka’ Seshweni, Amos ‘Heel Extension’ Mkhari, Dan ‘Dance’ Malesela and many others.

“We convey our heartfelt and deepest sympathy to the Ngobeni Family and pledge our profound moral support. We supplicate that God gives the family fortitude at this moment of extreme grief and pain. Details of the funeral will be announced at a later date.” Bucs confirmed on the club’s official website.
