Orlando Pirates have been advised on the things they need to do in their push for the league title ahead of the last few games of the season.
Wednesday evening’s match against Bloemfontein Celtic will be the first of the remaining six for Pirates, as Milutin Sredojevic and the team attempt to take the 2017/18 season’s Absa Premiership trophy to their headquarters.
Tonic Chabalala, who was a top defender for Pirates during his prime as a professional footballer, believes that the current team is on the right track.
“The way I see it, Pirates are on the right track. In their last two, three or so games, they have played very well. At this stage, it is up to the players to show up and finish the job. Their mindset and confidence will play a big role in this stage of the season to determine if they are winning the league,” said Chabalala.
“If you check, Celtic haven’t been playing well lately. I think it’s going to be a difficult game, but it’s up to Pirates players and what they will be told by the coaches to make sure that they do the business. But, so far, so good for them. For them to win the league, they have to take it one game at a time,” concluded the former centre back.
The battle for three points between Bucs and Siwelele will take place at the Orlando Stadium from 19h30.
