With Bucs among teams looking like they could challenge for the Absa Premiership title this season, Ngobe says there is progress in the team's play in comparison to last season.
“There is an improvement in how Pirates play this season compared to last season. Last season, Pirates were not playing football. They were not even making four or five touches. This time around, even their defence is better than last season. There is an improvement from what the coach is doing with the team.

“The only thing that’s left is for the team to convert the chances they create, into goals. Pirates are still waiting for that moment when they will win convincingly. It will happen but I don’t who it will start with. The moment when that happens – where the team will score goals and win convincingly – there will be a lot of other wins and goals for Pirates. As for when that will happen, I’m still waiting for that moment,” said Ngobe.
