Orlando Pirates will be aiming to complete a double win over Bloemfontein Celtic in their Absa Premiership matches this season.
The Buccaneers will host Siwelele in their second round league game at Orlando Stadium on Wednesday.
In their first round league game in November in the Free State, Bucs were 1-0 victors, courtesy of a goal from Musa Nyatama.
The win ended a run of over eight years without a win for Pirates in Bloemfontein. Former Pirates defender, Tonic Chabalala, explains why he thinks the league will be won by either Bucs or Downs.
“I think it’s going to be between Pirates and Sundowns. If Sundowns drop points in one of their games, Pirates will go all the way to take it (league title). It’s up to the players, especially the senior guys in the team to do it for themselves. Experience will need to show and play a crucial role at this stage of the season. It will depend on the team that will drop more points, between Pirates and Sundowns,” said Chabalala.
The last time Pirates hosted Celtic in Orlando, the Mangaung outfit went back home with all three points, following Mbhazima Rikhotso’s stoppage-time goal that sealed a 2-1 win for his team last season.
Chabalala is encouraging Pirates not to lose any of their remaining matches.
“From their remaining games of the season, Pirates will need to only win and maybe draw here and there. But they can’t afford to lose any of the games at this stage of the season. I think if they can manage to get 12 points from their remaining games, they will stand a good chance of winning the league,” concluded the former defender.
