Nine Goals In Four Matches, Bucs Unsatisfied

Orlando Pirates are keen on improving their scoring form despite their improvement in front of goals in recent matches.

Earlier in the 2018/19 season, Pirates had a stage when they went two matches without scoring, against Bidvest Wits and Bloemfontein Celtic respectively.

Both matches ended in 1-0 losses for Bucs, however, the team has since improved in its goalscoring form, as the team has scored in all of their last four matches, accumulating a total of nine goals in four matches against Black Leopards (2-1), SuperSport United (3-1), Cape Town City (2-2) and Baroka FC (2-1).

However, Bucs’ head coach Milutin Sredojevic says the team is not entirely satisfied with their scoring ratio as they could improve in that aspect of their game.

“In the four matches, including the Black Leopards (match), we scored practically nine goals and when you have that in mind it is something that is not still satisfactory for the club. We are not satisfied with where we are,” Sredojevic told the media after the weekend’s match against Baroka in Polokwane.

“We are always critically looking to improve (and) to get better because that is the demand of our supporters, it is the demand of our badge and this is what we need to do. Therefore, we believe that we still have space in that regard to improve, but much more we have space in order to have perfect emotional control of the game from start to the end. We need to defend, by not by defending, but by possessing the ball much better,” said the coach.

The Serbian mentor says he wants the team to keep scoring as they aim for more improved results in their upcoming matches.
