Orlando Pirates have welcomed a youngster back to the club as part of the preparations for the new season at the Soweto giants.
Prior to the start of last season, Pirates loaned defender, Brian Hlongwa to Real Kings in the NFD. The player is now back at the Buccaneers, with the club expected to make a decision about his future for the new season.
Hlongwa has been one of the influential players for Kings, with his performances almost helping the KwaZulu-Natal outfit to qualification for the play-offs at the end of the season.
Kings finished the season 4th on the NFD log behind Highlands Park, Black Leopards and Jomo Cosmos.
Hlongwa has been spotted at Bucs (seen on the picture below at the back with dreadlocks) among Bucs’ new signings, during their welcoming by assistant coach Rhulani Mokwena.
Other players expected back at Pirates at the end of their loan deals with respective clubs in the PSL and NFD last season, include Tercious Malepe (Ajax Cape Town), as well as Sandile Mthethwa and Lebogang Sentsho (Richards Bay FC).
In July last year, Bucs welcomed Innocent Maela back at the club, following his successful loan stint with Thanda Royal Zulu before being renamed Richards Bay FC.
Maela has since managed to make the left back position at Bucs his own, as he has been playing regularly and impressive with his performances.
