Orlando Pirates have issued an update on the progress of the likes of Brilliant Khuzwayo and Luvuyo Memela who are currently nursing injuries.
The Buccaneers will lock horns with SuperSport United at the Orlando Stadium in an Absa Premiership clash, following the international break.
Pirates will be looking to continue on winning ways after they headed into the break securing a 2-1 over Black Leopards.
The club confirmed today that Augustine Mulenga has been given the green light to play this weekend, while Vincent Pule will undergo a late fitness test.
However, the Soweto giants currently have three of their players nursing injuries, one of which, their new shot-stopper, Khuzwayo.
“Shitolo (quad) – Currently working with the strength and conditioning department. Focus this past week has been on cardio,” Pirates said on their official website.
“Khuzwayo (ankle) – Has improved strength and proprioception but still continues to work on strengthening programme.
“Memela (ankle) – Has recovered from (the) knee injury but recently picked up a knock to the ankle in training. He has mild swelling and experiencing some discomfort but (the) injury is not serious,” the club added.
