Pirates Reveal Which Game To Be Played Behind Closed Doors
Orlando Pirates Have Given Details Of The Game To Be Played Behind Closed Doors
Orlando Pirates revealed which game will be played behind closed doors.
Earlier today (Tuesday), it was confirmed by the league that the PSL’s Disciplinary Committee has handed down its sanctions against Pirates, following last season’s incident of crowd violence which took place at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on 11 February 2017 during their match against Mamelodi Sundowns.
As part of their punishment, it was decided that the Soweto giants would play one of their matches in a closed stadium.
It has now been confirmed by the Buccaneers that the match in question will be the upcoming match against Bidvest Wits.
“The Absa Premiership match between Orlando Pirates and Bidvest Wits scheduled for Wednesday, 25 April, will now be played behind closed doors in terms of a sanction handed down by the Premier Soccer League Disciplinary Committee.
“Fans who have already bought tickets for this match will be advised in the near future as to how to get a refund,” confirmed Pirates on the club’s official website.
