Orlando Pirates’ goalkeeper coach, Andrew Sparkes, has been praised for his contribution to the Soweto giants so far this season.
Sparkes, who previously worked as Head of Academy Goalkeeping at Swansea City in the English Championship, joined the Buccaneers before the start of the current season to form part of the Soweto giants’ technical team under Milutin Sredojevic.

With Bucs set to take on Kaizer Chiefs in their Telkom Knockout semi-final match at Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium this afternoon, Sparkes had been praised by assistant coach Rulani Mokwena earlier in the week for the work he has done with the team so far, this after the goalkeeper coach showed on his official Twitter account some of the work he has been doing with Bucs’ shot-stoppers.
In reply, Mokwena confirmed that he has been inspired by the Welshman's work-rate and his contribution to the team.
