Orlando Pirates defender, Justice Chabalala, is not blaming anyone from the team for some of their disappointing results this season.
In some of the games this season, Bucs goalkeeper Wayne Sandilands has come under fire for his performance between the sticks.
Against Mamelodi Sundowns two weeks ago, Sandilands received criticism for the goals he conceded during The Buccaneers the 3-1 loss to Sundowns.
Speaking to Soccer Laduma in edition 1048 of the newspaper, Chabalala defended the goalkeeper and said the entire team should be blamed and not just one player.
“For me, I don’t blame anyone. I don’t blame the goalkeeper. I don’t blame the coaches. I’m just saying it’s part of football. Supporters don’t know what they want because tomorrow we win they are happy and the next week we lose they are not happy. It’s football. Losing is part of the game. Me, I support my goalkeeper. I support each and everyone. If we are saying the goalkeeper is to blame, then we must also blame the players because he doesn’t play alone. He’s learnt a lot and I’m sure he won’t allow that mistake to happen again,” said Chabalala.
