Pirates: Let All Processes Take Course In Ndoro Case

Orlando Pirates declare all due process must be followed in Tendai Ndoro case

By Soccer Laduma - Apr 16, 2018 11:00 AM

Orlando Pirates have said that the matter involving Tendai Ndoro and his eligibility to play has not affected the club’s preparations in the league.

Furthermore, the Soweto giants have called for all due processes to take their course in resolving the issue.

It was the Soweto giants who first launched an official protest against Ajax Cape Town for fielding Ndoro ahead of their league encounter which was in contravention of FIFA statutes, which state that player can’t play for three different clubs in one season.

Despite the Dispute Resolution Chamber (DRC) declaring Ndoro eligible to play for Ajax, the case was appealed by the PSL resulting in the matter being escalated to FIFA and subsequently handed to the South African Football Association.

Now with the verdict yet to be given by South African football authorities, speculation on the possible consequences facing the Urban Warriors include the chance of points being deducted for matches where Ndoro was fielded and awarded to those teams.

This, however, has neither affected Pirates' preparations nor has it changed the club’s mandate for the season. Instead, the Buccaneers have called for all processes to proceed.

“We can’t comment extensively on the case as the case has not been finalised. All we can say for now it that due processes need to be followed,” said the club's Administrative Chief Whip, Floyd Mbele.

Meanwhile, the team registered a 2-1 victory over AmaZulu. The Sea Robbers are still three points behind log leaders, Mamelodi Sundowns and have three games left in the current campaign.

FIFA Article 5 paragraphs 3 and 4 clearly set out the direction this case should take. To my understanding it says a player can sign for three clubs and only play for two in the same season in the same member association. In this case Ndoro has met those requirements. Key to this predicament, the second club does not belong to the same association. As Pirates have said "let due process take it's course". My opinion: NO CASE

Pirates are dreaming or Floyd's mathematics is flawed. First things first Sunflops will never loose a PSL game at present. After today they are six point clear of the crossed bones. Now lets say that they are awared the 3 points they lost against Ajax the gap will be 3 points going into the last 3 remaining games and let's say Sunflops draw one game and in the mean time the cross bones are wining all their games until the last game and they still win the league(tongue chick because they talk too much this fat cats). the best they can hope is to finish 2nd go to Africa and everyone knows what happened to them with their last participation in CAF. Lastely it is petty for Pirates to want the 3 points for the game they lost in the field of play against 11 opposing players from Ajax.

@Mfitshimfitshi Ajax were notified before the Pirates game that the decision will be appealed, that is why Pirates were the first team to lodge the protest.

they fighting a losing case a player is allowed to register for 3 teams in a season but it's only allowed to play for not more then 2 teams in 1season in a championship(which is our PLS) he only played for PRTS in the PSL that means he can still play for another team in the PSL so AJAX was in they legal right according to FIFA article 5 to let him play case close SAFA must get they house in order THE PSL AND ARAB LEAGUE IS IN TWO DIFFERENT COUNTRIES

@DTChappyRATbyBIRTh, you seem not to acknowledge the complexity of this matter, Khoza is not a blameless Victim, his PSL registered Ndoro at the first place.

Its normal under the circumstances that Sundowns be it fans and management and pirates haters wish that the findings of the protest to come negarive, however Pirates universe wishes otherwise. Despite it all this will remain a beautiful game and very contested and inyeresting season.

Orlando Pirates laid a protest before the game, had we won the game the protest would still be investigated, so Pirates is not doing any foul play here, haters are just angry that Pirates have a strong case, its not like we are pulling an Arthur Zwane save here, our protest was fair as it was done before the game and we have not lost or won the game then...
