The Buccaneers will host Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League side, FC Platinum, in their Champions League match at the Orlando Stadium on Friday night.

Bucs’ Strength and Conditioning Coach, Franck Plaine, has made an interesting observation on the number of games the team played in a short period of time in Absa Premiership, Telkom Knockout, Nedbank Cup and Champions League campaigns since last year.

The Buccaneers’ technical team member took to Twitter to reveal some of the observations, which according to him, compares to the biggest clubs in Europe.

“Tomorrow will be our 22nd match in 105 days. Since last FIFA break (12-20 Nov) we have competed in 4 competitions (Telkom, CAF, Nedbank, PSL) That’s (the) rhythm of biggest clubs in Europe!!! (4,77 days between games) In a challenging context of travelling all over Africa for CAF games,” tweeted Plaine.

Milutin Sredojevic and the team have been tipped by some pundits to win the league title this season, while some believe that they could also qualify for the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
