Orlando Pirates Assistant Coach In Brazil
One of Orlando Pirates’ technical team members is in Brazil, and the Siya crew has learnt why he is there.
Following Bucs’ 1-0 loss against Cape Town City on the weekend, the team’s assistant coach Rhulani Mokwena has jetted off to Brazil to link up with the club’s The Project X team – a youth competition aimed at unearthing talented U19 and U21 players, with a view of producing future stars for the Pirates first team.
Pirates’ The Project X Tour is underway in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In their first game on Monday, the Bucs youngsters beat CA Barra da Tijuca at the Zico Football Centre.
Mokwena has joined the team, to link up with coaches Mxolisi Mngomezulu and Mandla Qhogi, as well as the rest of the team.
Bucs’ youngsters are preparing to play against Flamengo in their second game, which is scheduled for today.
Meanwhile, Mokwena will be expected back in Mzansi for Pirates’ last game of the season against Free State Stars at the Orlando Stadium on May 12.
