Ajax Cape Town defender Abbubaker Mobara is understood to still be on Orlando Pirates' wanted list as they look to strengthen their backline.
The 21-year-old has been in impressive form for the Cape-based outfit this season, and played an integral role in helping the South African U23 side secure qualification for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.
The highly rated defender has been linked with a move to the Buccaneers for more than 18 months now, and it appears they have not given up hope of signing the player.
Pirates' rearguard has been shaky at certain moments so far this campaign, and with many of their backline close to or over the age of 30, the Soweto giants are understood to be looking to inject some youth into the defensive department.
Mobara is under contract with the Urban Warriors until 2018, but is believed that, should the Buccaneers offer an attractive deal, the Mother City outfit would likely consider parting ways with the starlet.
Do you think Mobara could help solve Bucs' defensive problems? Which other defenders should Pirates consider signing?
