Despite 2015/16 being a difficult season for Free State Stars’ Moeketsi Sekola, the Siya crew has been led to believe that Orlando Pirates remain interested.
The 27-year-old has only scored two goals for Stars so far this campaign, though it must be said that he has only managed to start seven games across all competitions due to his injury woes.
As reported in this week’s issue of Soccer Laduma, the Buccaneers have shown an interest in bringing last season’s Golden Boot winner to the club as a possible replacement for Lehlohonolo Majoro and/or Thamsanqa Gabuza should they leave.
The attacking duo of Majoro and Gabuza will see their current contracts expire at the end of the 2015/16 campaign, and as of yet there has been no news on whether they will remain with Bucs or not.
Sekola has one more year left on his current contract with Ea Lla Koto, however the club could look to try and sell him rather than risk losing him for free at some stage next year.
