Chippa United chairman, Siviwe Mpengesi, has confirmed to the Siya crew that an agreement was reached between his club and Orlando Pirates for a swap deal involving Menzi Masuku and Nkosinathi Mthiyane.
The Siya crew broke the news in July that Masuku has been signed by Chippa, with the Port Elizabeth outfit confirming the deal.
Subsequently, Pirates confirmed the player’s switch to Chippa on the club’s official website. Mpengesi has since added that Masuku will be joining his club in a swap deal involving Mthiyane.
While Mthiyane is already with Pirates and playing friendly games under coach Muhsin Ertugral, Masuku has been away in Brazil with the South African U23 side under Owen da Gama and his technical team.
Masuku has reportedly been claiming to know nothing about finalisation of his move to Chippa, but the Siya crew has been told that Masuku is on a three-year deal with the Eastern Cape club.
