Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojević says the desire to win is always present at a big club.
The club has repeatedly professed that both Sredojević and his assistant Rhulani Mokwena have already exceeded the expectations of management by turning around the club’s fortunes from previous seasons and that winning the league would be an added bonus on what has already been a successful season in terms of league position and the team’s performance.
However, the Bucs mentor has told the crew that despite this sentiment by the club’s management, the desire to win everything is always prevalent among the players and supporters alike.
“The reason why the team has done so well is that at Pirates there is always a desire to win,” said Micho.
“At Pirates, we play for everything, that’s just the mentality of every big club. Even though in previous seasons we have not done well, the expectations from our supporters (are) that we win games.
“If you look at the biggest teams in the top four of the table, all the coaches have been there for three seasons or more. It’s only at Pirates where myself and Rhulani have been here for under a season but because of the desire of the players it’s not been too difficult to inspire the players,” adds the Bucs coach.
“Against SuperSport United it won’t be any different. Although they have done well against us in past season that has not shaken our aspiration to claim three points in that match,” concluded the Micho.
Pirates are away to Matsatsantsa a Pitori on tomorrow night, with the match scheduled to start at 19:30.
