Only One Stumbling Block In Ntshangase’s Chiefs Move, Celtic Wait
Siphelele Ntshangase is the hottest name in Mzansi football at the moment with his immediate future up in the air.
The Baroka FC star player has been heavily linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs this January transfer window and the 24-year-old was expected to conclude his move to Naturena during on January 2.
However yesterday, on January 3, Baroka Chairman Khurishi Mphahlele informed the Siya crew that the proposed deal with the Amakhosi had been called off. It was subsequently reported that Chiefs were not willing to meet Baroka’s asking price for the player.
Bloemfontein Celtic became the frontrunners for the player’s signature, with talks between Baroka and Celtic taking place.
The Siya crew followed up with Mphahlele earlier today, January 4, and the club boss explained that Ntshangase’s move could still happen. It is believed that there is only one stumbling block in Ntshangase’s proposed move to the Soweto giants, and that is the transfer fee.
It seems that Chiefs could still secure his signature, while Celtic wait in the wings.
For a player to be transferred from one club to another, all three parties must agree on the terms. In this case, it is believed that Ntshangase is keen on a move to Chiefs, while Baroka and Chiefs cannot agree on a transfer fee.
Indications are that Celtic and Baroka are willing to find an agreement, though the player will have to agree to the move too.
As it stands, indications are that if Chiefs meet Baroka’s asking price, and the two clubs agree, Ntshangase will move to the Soweto giants.
