Bidvest Wits saw a number of their players head to Central America on international duty, but defender Onismor Bhasera says that the players who have remained are working hard.
While some might see the international break as a time for rest, Bhasera says that the Students are training in preparation for the resumption of the league as they look to push for trophies this season.
"We are busy at training. We can't go on holiday because it's the FIFA break. We have to keep fit and be ready for the games that are coming,” he said.
“We know it's tough in the league and for us to bounce back and win again we have to keep on training and keep fit," the Zimbabwean international concluded.
The league gets back underway on 17 October, with Wits hosting strugglers Jomo Cosmos before facing a tricky trip away to Orlando Pirates on 21 October.
