Official: Wits Sign Former Pirates Player

Official: Wits Confirm Gyimah Signature

By Soccer Laduma - Jan 02, 2018 12:11 PM

Bidvest Wits have confirmed the signing of a former Orlando Pirates utility player.

It was revealed by the Siya crew last month that Edwin Gyimah had surfaced at Wits and subsequently reported that he had agreed to a deal after a trial stint under the watchful eye of Coach Gavin Hunt.

The Students have now confirmed that the club has secured the signature of the 26-year-old Ghanaian, bolstering Hunt’s squad as they look to turn their fortunes around in second-half of the 2017/18 campaign.

The club recently confirmed that they parted ways with their Montenegrin defender, Slavko Damjanovic, after the player spent just four months on the books of the Braamfontein-based outfit.

In other news, The Students also confirmed that Sifiso Myeni has been recalled from his loan stint with SuperSport United.

Indications are that the club will continue to make changes to their squad in the coming weeks and it remains to be seen who will be exiting and joining up with Head Coach Hunt’s side during the current January transfer window.

Gavin Hunt is in relegation zone and he is buying defenders. Whats the plan? Defend his way out of the relegation zone?

Bad attitude player in a sinking ship is not a good idea. Players like Gymah didn't want to listen to the coach at Pirates. Good Luck HUNT

Reading Irvin Khoza's explanatiin as to why Rakhale was sent to Chippa made me realise a few things.Mpho Makola spends decades on the ball,Matlaba treats soccer as if its relay. Why is Gcaba still at Pirates?Issa Sarr looks like a lost sheep in th field with the ball on his feet. Was Aubrey Ngoma taking too long on the ball?Eversince supporting my beloved team we have always lost great players and coaches. There is no consistency in the decision making body of this club. Why is Morrison still at Pirates if Jomo delays with the ball?If Floyd Mbele and Dr Khoza are assessing the reports from coaches and thats a way of being accountable, why buy coaches players.Robin Johannes is our former player who did great. We need management to support the coach not set him to fail.Sundowns once failed because of having too many Mr know it all Trott Moloto,Mambush Mudau,Mike Ntombela etc.Interference or progress is hindered by management. We need change
