Official: Medical Successful, Manyama Completes Move To Europe

Official: Lebogang Manyama Completes Move to Turkish side Atiker Konyaspor

By Soccer Laduma - Sep 07, 2017 03:02 PM

Lebogang Manyama has officially completed his move to the Turkish side, Atiker Konyaspor.

After an exhilarating 2016/17 campaign in the Premier Soccer League where he went on to clinch the 2016 Telkom Knockout trophy with Cape Town City and picked up the Footballer Of The Season and Players’ Player Of The Season accolades at the annual awards ceremony, Manyama is now set to grace the fields of Turkey as he takes the first step of his European football career.

On August 16, the Siya crew broke the news of the Turkish interest in the 26-year-old, where the name of the club (Atiker Konyaspor) was subsequently revealed on the Soccer Laduma website.

On August 31, City announced that a transfer of the player to Konyaspor, pending a medical was agreed to and signed, and it has since been confirmed that the player’s medical was successful and Manyama has officially completed his move to Europe.

Manyama now joins his Bafana Bafana teammate, Tokelo Rantie, in Turkey, who plies his trade for Genclerbirligi Ankara in the Turkish Super Lig.

I'm sure he is ready for that challenge. The Turkish league is demanding, u have to deliver otherwise ur stay there is doomed. U not going to be handed a place in the starting line-up, u work for it unlike in the PSL. Ask Stuart Baxter, Muhsin Etugral, they will tell u. Teams there are too ambitions, but hope u got what it takes. Good luck!!!

What I know he can't cope with pressure hence he decided to not sign in Chiefs before joining Supersport United. He still need to prove himself in the National Team colours, as for now he's still failing us. #Goodluck mara.
