Official: Lebogang Manyama Completes Move to Turkish side Atiker Konyaspor
Lebogang Manyama has officially completed his move to the Turkish side, Atiker Konyaspor.
After an exhilarating 2016/17 campaign in the Premier Soccer League where he went on to clinch the 2016 Telkom Knockout trophy with Cape Town City and picked up the Footballer Of The Season and Players’ Player Of The Season accolades at the annual awards ceremony, Manyama is now set to grace the fields of Turkey as he takes the first step of his European football career.
On August 16, the Siya crew broke the news of the Turkish interest in the 26-year-old, where the name of the club (Atiker Konyaspor) was subsequently revealed on the Soccer Laduma website.
On August 31, City announced that a transfer of the player to Konyaspor, pending a medical was agreed to and signed, and it has since been confirmed that the player’s medical was successful and Manyama has officially completed his move to Europe.
Manyama now joins his Bafana Bafana teammate, Tokelo Rantie, in Turkey, who plies his trade for Genclerbirligi Ankara in the Turkish Super Lig.
