The Siya crew can reveal Thapelo Nyondo is still being assessed by Bloemfontein Celtic as he looks to earn himself a PSL contract with the side.
The young Khayelitsha-born defender was invited for a trial by the Mangaung-based club after putting in impressive performances for the Old Mutual Academy where he has been playing his football, under the guidance of former AmaZulu and Bafana Bafana striker George Dearnaley.
He has been training with Phunya Sele Sele’s reserve side under the watchful eye of Molefi Ntseki and reveals that everything has been going smoothly, as he waits for feedback from the club.
He told the Siya crew, “I’m used to the surroundings now and everything has been going well. I’m waiting for my coach (Dearnaley) to let me know what they have told him. I’m hoping for good news.”
