Platinum Stars midfielder Ntsikelelo Nyauza is in negotiations with the club to renew his contract. The Siya crew has been informed that the player’s representative is at an advanced stage of talks with the Phokeng outfit.
Although Nyauza appeared to have lost his place in Cavin Johnson’s starting line-up this past season, he believes that he can still offer something to the club and reclaim his starting berth.
Nyauza is hoping to follow in the footsteps of players like Robert Ng’ambi, Solomon Mathe, Sibusiso Msomi, Lindokuhle Mbatha and Henrico Botes, who have all signed new deals with Stars.
Still at Stars, Joshua Sauls is set to return at the expiry of his loan deal with Chippa United. Johnson confirmed to the Siya crew that Sauls will return to the team.
The 25-year-old struggled for game time at Stars during the first half of the season, although faced a similar scenario in Cape Town with the Chilli Boys. He made only a few substitute appearances in his short spell.
