Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Esrom Nyandoro has made progress in his attempt to return to the starting eleven at Chloorkop.
Nyandoro has recovered from the injury that contributed to his slow progress this season. According to a Soccer-Laduma source close to the player, the Zimbabwean is close to making his first official appearance for the team in the 2013/14 season.
“I always speak to Esrom. He has recovered very well and it won’t be long before he starts playing again. He is training now,” said the source.
Sundowns made it clear that they still value the player and believe that he can add value to the squad, when they handed him a two-year contract extension earlier this year.
The veteran has been an influential figure for Sundowns over the years, although will have to contend for a place in Pitso Mosimane’s side with the likes of Hlompho Kekana and rising star Bongani Zungu.
