Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Esrom Nyandoro has entered into discussions with the club in an attempt to tie down a new contract.
The 32-year-old is entering into the twilight years of his career and will see his current contract come to an end in June of this year, something that he is hoping to change.
Nyandoro’s agent, Ryan Hartslief, told the Siya crew that he’s optimistic at the moment. He said, “We’ve started our negotiations, the deal hasn’t been completed yet but we’re hoping that it can be done sooner rather than later.
“He’s a player that has given most of his career to the club, through the good and bad. He’s been in the starting line-up and he’s hoping to do the deal.”
It is thought that Nyandoro, a Zimbabwean international who has been with the Brazilians for over eight years, is hoping to land one more contract with the club before hanging up his boots in a few years time.
The midfielder signed for Downs in 2004 from Zimbabwean club AmaZulu.
